The collaboration between SKILLSAFE EU and Smart-Pumps is beginning to yield results: our first thematic online seminar is coming soon, bringing together experts and stakeholders from the heat pump and energy sectors.

As the energy transition accelerates, upskilling and reskilling the workforce is essential to ensure safe and efficient adoption of innovative technologies; for this reason, we have organised this session to explore how two different EU funded projects are contributing to this goal, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration.

What to expect?

During this 90-minute session, partners from both consortiums will:

  • Provide an overview of the work done so far to develop the training programs for installers and industry professionals;
  • Share insights on the main aspects to consider to respect safety and security;
  • Highlight key synergies between the two projects and their goals.

Who should attend?

  1. Heat Pump Installers and Technicians – Professionals who need upskilling or reskilling to meet new industry standards;
  2. HVAC and Energy Sector Professionals – Engineers, contractors, and service providers working in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning;
  3. Training Providers and Educators – Institutions and trainers developing curricula for energy sector professionals;
  4. Industry Stakeholders – Manufacturers, suppliers, and companies involved in heat pump technology;
  5. Policy Makers and Regulators – Authorities shaping energy transition policies and workforce regulations;
  6. Energy and Sustainability Consultants – Experts advising on energy-efficient technologies and best practices;
  7. Researchers and Innovation Specialists – Individuals working on advancements in heat pump and smart energy solutions.

How to participate?

The Event will take place online on the 21st of May 2025 at 10:00-11:30 CEST. Participation is free, but registration is needed: register now!

About the projects

The SKILLSAFE-EU project will develop industry-wide guidelines for the safe handling and installation of these heat pumps, involving collaboration among manufacturers, associations, and training institutions.

The Smart-Pumps research project is designing heat-pumps with smart functionalities that are sustainable and efficient, by prioritising recycled materials, ensuring component recyclability throughout the heat-pump lifecycle, integrating sensors for performance optimisation, and establishing standardised protocols for mass production.
